The Undiscovered Scotland page about this station does it far more justice than my photos - you can see it here. The Wemyss Bay website here is also very interesting with more about the history of the station.
Mainly photos - old and new - of my favourite places around the wonderful River and Firth of Clyde!

Beautiful architecture!
Yes it is! Thanks for your comment!
I get pleasure out of your blogs, and I stay in the area, so I hope others appreciate it to.
Thank you Donald, it's greatly appreciated.
The station has recently undergone a major facelift, as well as a Friends of weymss bay station being launched. the station looks like i remember it as a child with the hanging baskets and plants back in the station
In todays modern faster lifestyles , people probably just don't appreciate georgous stations. In my opinion this is one of the best stations in Scotland and probably beyond.
Alan and Clan Line - Thank you both for your very welcome comments.
(Alan - I apologise for taking so long to reply!)
Must be nearly 50 years ago since I visted the staion as a child, deep impression in the memory of the flooding daylight, the unusual round shape of the station, which was gleaming, plus the delightful colours of the floral displays.
Never seen any station to match it!
Really appreciate your comment Neil. I think I first went there nearly 50 years ago too!! It used to be so beautiful and was full of floral displays, as you say. I wish it had remained that beautiful.
The flowers are there just now!
Thanks for letting me know, I must go and have a look soon!!
